Automatic Activation Device
An automatic activation device (AAD) is a dead man’s switch consisting of an electronic-pyrotechnic or mechanical device that automatically opens the main or reserve parachute container at a preset altitude or after a preset time.
Oxygen System
Oxygen systems are used in certain high-altitude parachute jumps to ensure the safety and well-being of the parachutist. These systems are designed to provide a supply of oxygen to the parachutist when jumping from extreme altitudes, where the air is too thin to provide sufficient oxygen for normal breathing.
